As we prepare to say farewell to autumn for another year – as the natural world around us begins making its transition to winter dormancy – we have closed the door on our Autumn Snippets Photograph Competition for 2012.
With many wonderful entries – all very different autumnal interpretations, including familiar fallen leaves, autumn colours and red berries, as well as the perhaps less obvious cobwebs, mushrooms and crop fields, we are truly grateful to each and every entrant for taking the time to share a little piece of autumn with us.
Following a tough judging process, we managed to establish a shortlist from which the winning photograph was selected – an autumnal scene entitled ‘Off to church on an autumnal Sunday morning’, entered by Elizabeth Goodfellow of Helston.
To us, this scene epitomised an autumnal morning, and was the ‘snippet’ that best captured the spirit of this beautiful season. Elizabeth has won £25.00 of Trevena Cross gift vouchers for her winning entry, which we have shared below. Congratulations Elizabeth, and thank you very much to all who entered!
