Car Parking

Stallholders are permitted to use the main garden centre carpark or overflow carpark on arrival for the purposes of unloading.

Stallholders must then immediately move their vehicle to the designated stallholder parking area (as directed by Trevena Cross) during trading hours. We will be monitoring the location of stallholder vehicles and will directly request that they be moved as required.

Stallholders may, if necessary, return to the main garden centre carpark or overflow carpark to reload their vehicle at the end of the day.

Trading Times, Stock & Security

Christmas market trading hours are 10am-4pm on all six days. Stallholders will be expected to be set up and ready to trade promptly and will not be permitted to start packing up before 4pm (unless by mutual agreement with Trevena Cross and other traders e.g. if there is a lack of footfall). All stallholders will be expected to pack up promptly at 4pm.

Trolleys will be available to assist with transporting stock/stall equipment.

Stallholders may leave stall equipment such as tables, at their own risk; however, we ask stallholders to take all stock away with them at the end of each market day as no additional overnight security will be provided during market weekends, and preservation of stock cannot be guaranteed. (All garden centre gates will be securely locked as usual).

Electricity

For stallholders who have requested electric: your space/stall position may be determined by where electric hook up is available within the market area. We will do our best to meet your electricity needs but cannot guarantee this. If we can’t, you will be notified prior to the day.

Insurance

Trevena Cross Public Liability Insurance (PLI) will be amended as required to cover the additional activities (including markets) taking place over the three festive weekends. Acquisition of any additional insurances to cover a stallholder’s own personal trading area / stock / belongings, is the responsibility of the individual stallholder.

Licenses

Traders selling alcohol are required to apply in advance for a TEN (Temporary Event Notice) specifically for Trevena Cross Christmas Market(s).

Traders operating as a ‘full-time business’ selling food products/products for consumption, are required to have a current Food Hygiene Certificate, a copy of which can be supplied / displayed on request. All traders selling products anticipated for consumption are expected to adhere to the highest of hygiene standards.
