Flamingo is one of the phormium variety that features long sword-like leaves bearing vertical stripes in rose pink colour. It has an upright, clump-forming habit. These leaves grow up to to a height of 60cm (2ft) and their arching habit simply makes them look stylish. When the plant will mature, it will produce tall stalks with tubular yellow and green flowers in March to April that attract hummingbirds. Hardy down to -10°C. Prefers moist but well-drained soil and full sun.
