Not only hardy. ‘Dakota Burgundy’ is also remarkably frost tolerant. Beautiful crimson-bronze foliage matures to dark green on this compact and dwarf perennial setting the stage for the prolific lavender-pink ‘ foxglove-like’ trumpets that smother the plant from midsummer. Avoid waterlogged conditions over winter and look forward year-on-year to predictable penstemon perfection! Height 60cm. Spread 40cm. Prefers full sun and flowers July through October.
