This beautiful flowering evergreen shrub from madeira forms a large bush to about 2m high and wide. Covered in long dense spikes of purplish blue flowers from April to June up to 60cm long. A fast growing plant that needs very well drained soil and full sun. Can also be grown as a large tub plant using John Innes no.3 with extra grit for drainage. Hardy to about -3°C so cover with fleece on frosty nights.
