As a lot of you have been asking, we thought it was time to share our plans for Christmas 2021 – plans that have only been finalised within the last week.
Recent visitors will have seen our Christmas shop emerging and it is set to be a real cracker this year. More space than ever before dedicated to more lights and baubles than we have ever had before, and more choice than you could possibly want! You won’t find similar this end of the county.
Sadly we will not be hosting our Santa’s Grotto for another year, as Trevena Cross Owner Graham explains:
“We couldn’t see a way of hosting a grotto without making too many compromises, to ensure that everyone felt completely relaxed and safe throughout the experience. We would rather do it the way it should be done, encapsulating all the magic and sparkle it should have, even if that means sacrificing the grotto for another year”.
But fear not, to complement our Christmas shop, outside we will have a wide selection of Christmas trees (end of November) including the hugely popular £25 value Nordmann Firs, in all shapes and sizes to suit every home and taste.
There will be LOTS of FREE festive photo opportunities in the undercover area by the shop too with several brand new ‘wow factor’ Christmas props and animatronics joining the old favourites. You don’t want to miss the giant penguin band, trust us!
Joining the Christmas characters on the three weekends leading up to Christmas, in December, will also be around a dozen stalls hosting the best food and drink Cornwall has to offer, as well as a couple of street food traders (so come hungry!) Wonderful traders, keen to share their produce. Whether you’re looking to stock up the Christmas cupboard or just indulge on the day, there will be something to tempt you!
Plus, with snow, music and plenty of cheer, Trevena Cross will ensure that Christmas certainly doesn’t go unnoticed this year!
The festive outdoor undercover seating area of The Garden Kitchen Café will also be available to soak up the ambience, while enjoying a cuppa or spot of lunch too.
