Nature’s time to plant, autumn is an exciting time to be in the garden. Absolutely the best time of the year to get everything in the ground – ornamental trees, fruit trees, fruit bushes, shrubs, hedging, bulbs, winter bedding…
We managed to get our spring flowering bulbs in and out on the shelves before the bank holiday weekend this year and they’re flying out the door ready for autumn planting. From the popular narcissus and tulips to crocus, hyacinth and so many other spring delights – it’s nice to plan for exuberant colour next spring! Cornish spring flowering daffodil bulbs are also available, grown by Fentongollan Farm based in Truro. A hugely popular buy, it’s not surprising that these are flying out, ready to create drifts of Cornish colour next spring!
And if you’re not the most patient and craving some more colour much sooner than next spring, our fresh stock of bedding plants suitable for filling beds, borders, pots and baskets for the winter months, are coming down from the nursery. A wide range of different coloured Viola Ice Babies have kicked things off, with other bedding, such as the very popular Cyclamen and Wallflowers just fresh down from the nursery – they’ll soon be ready to match the bold Violas when it comes to colour.
Our specials aisle is boasting irresistible bargains and a wonderful selection of shrubs and perennials are ready to bring interest and colour to the garden during optimum planting time! It’s nature’s time to plant, so don’t let it pass you buy!
