Baeckea virgata

Pretty small white flowers in summer

This twiggy heath myrtle is an evergreen, erect, hardy shrub from Australia (height around 2.5m/8.2ft but can grow up to 4m/13ft) with spiny dark green, sometimes weeping leaves. It displays pretty small white flowers in summer, which can come in useful for screening purposes. It prefers a well drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot. It tolerates most situations well and can normally stand temperatures down to -6oC without too much problem.
