A densely spreading shrub from Victoria, Australia, that should reach around 2m/6.5ft high. This shrub is probably best planted in a tub or container and taken into the greenhouse or conservatory for protection from the winter cold. Masses of dainty, mauve coloured bottle brush like flowers appear in summer. It requires adequate moisture to establish, but should do fine in most garden soils.
An evergreen shrub (height and spread 3m/9.8ft) with papery bark from Australia, producing bottle brush type flowers which range in colour from pink to purple to white, and are produced in the late spring to early summer. Regular pruning will help to keep it a compact shape.
