This small evergreen tree (height 2-3m/6-8ft likely in the UK) from Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales in Australia has stiff, dark green, needle-like foliage; complemented by scented creamy white flowers in the summer. It should be planted in well-drained acidic soil in full sun. It is also one variety of Hakea that can cope well in a slightly heavier soil. Regular pruning will ensure a compact less straggly shrub. Available in a large 4ltr pot.
