Also known as the New Zealand Tea Tree, Leptospermum scoparium Nanum Kiwi is a compact evergreen shrub (height and spread 1m/3.3ft) with young purple-tinged foliage and pretty cup-shaped dark crimson flowers from May to June. On planting it should be back-filled with soil mixed with peat and a suitable fertiliser like Trevena Cross slow release fertiliser.

A bushy evergreen shrub displaying lots of stunning wine red, double flowers in summer. The leaves are very thin and narrow and in the autumn take on some lovely plum colours. Bees also love this plant! It grows to about 2m/6.5ft and will do best in full sun with some protection from the wind. It will require protection from severe frosts.
