Spikes of purplish-pink flowers

Physostegia virginiana Rosea is an upright herbaceous spreading perennial, which originates in North America. It has lance-shaped, toothed, mid-dark green leaves and produces dense, spikes of purplish-pink tubular flowers from mid-summer into early autumn. An attraction to bees, butterflies and other garden wildlife, it prefers a spot in partial shade and a moist, well drained soil.
