A hardy fast growing evergreen groundcover plant (height 20-40cm/1ft, spread 1.5-2m/4.9-6.5ft) with small white flowers in spring followed by red berries in the autumn, bringing plenty of seasonal and year round colour and interest. It should be grown in any reasonable soil in full sun to light shade.
Cotoneaster radicans Eichholz
An excellent plant (max height 20cm/0.6ft, max spread 2m/6.5ft) for use on banks or ground cover with white flowers followed by red berries. It prefers full sun to partial shade.
Cotoneaster suecicus Juliette
This semi-evergreen low-growing shrub is often grafted onto an upright stem to enable the branches to arch downwards. This weeping effect shows off 'Juliette's' variegated leaves and bright red autumnal fruits more clearly than at ground level.
