This Green bottlebrush (height to 2m/6.6ft, spread to 1m/3.3ft) is one of the hardiest bottlebrush varieties. It is reported to have remained undamaged in conditions as cold as -18oC in East Anglia. Originating from Tasmania it has striking 8cm long dense spikes of greenish yellow flowers May to June. An evergreen shrub well suited to container growing, it enjoys a sunny position and a moist soil in dry spells for fast growth. A mulch of bark is helpful for retaining this moisture.
