A hardy, compact shrub (1.5/5ft h and 1m/3ft) with dark bronze-green foliage, which intensifies in cooler conditions. Striking in a coastal position as a hedge or as a solitary plant. Providing interest throughout the year with attractive starry yellow flowers through summer and stunning red berries in autumn.

Corokia cotoneaster
This novel, evergreen, rounded shrub (2m/6.5ft h & s) is also known as the wire netting bush due to its interlacing branches and shoots. It possesses dark green leaves and clusters of fragrant yellow flowers in Spring followed by red or yellow fruit in Autumn. Prefers well drained soil in sheltered full sun.

Corokia buddleioides
An interesting shrub (2m/6.5ft h x 1.6m/5ft s), with long slender leaves, silvery-grey on the underside, and small star-like flowers during the spring. Fruits are produced in the summer. It grows well in sun but also semi-shade.
