Wisteria Macrobotrys

Wisteria Macrobotrys

Long heads of fragrant lilac flowers

Available in a 3ltr pot.

Wisteria floribunda Macrobotrys is a hardy deciduous climber (height 3-4.5m/10-15ft in 10 years) noted for its long heads of fragrant lilac flowers in early summer. It is best planted in full sun in a moisture retentive, well drained soil, and in the ground rather than a large pot/container. To prune, cut back the whippy green shoots of the current year's growth to five or six leaves after flowering in July or August and then cut back the same growth to two or three buds in January or February.
