Daphne odora Aureomarginata is an evergreen shrub (height and spread 1.5m/ 4.9ft) with glossy green, yellow margined foliage and fragrant red-purple flowers in spring. It should be planted in a humus-rich, moist, but well-drained soil in part-shade or full sun, and sheltered from cold winds. Caution - toxic if eaten / skin irritant.

Similar to the more common aureomarginata (max height & spread 1.5m/4.9ft) this rounded shrub has bolder yellow leaves and clusters of fragrant purple-red flowers (Feb-March), followed by red fruit (April). It prefers a sunny or partially shady position.
